The deck is ribbon-spread on the table, and a card is selected in a meticulously fair way. In this example, they select the Ace of Spades. Then, the cards are gathered up, and without any moves, the deck is re-ribbon-spread, only to find the other three Aces are now all face up and spread throughout the deck.
