This project teaches my four Double Sandwich routines. Four Aces, the spectator selects two cards; the red Aces trap the spectator’s red selection, and the black Aces trap the spectator’s black selection. All four routines share the same plot, but each uses a completely different handling and includes extra kicker effects. With just a regular deck, you can easily master all four routines.
Double Search: The magician begins by taking out four Aces. The spectator selects one red card and one black card, which are then returned to the deck and shuffled. The spectator is asked to cut the deck randomly into four packets. The four Aces are placed on top of each packet. The packets are reassembled. When the deck is spread, the four Aces not only gather together, but the red Aces sandwich the spectator’s red selection, and the black Aces sandwich the spectator’s black selection.
Biddle Steal Sandwich: Using the basic Biddle Steal to set up the Double Sandwich at speed. It’s a very fast, streamlined effect—no extra moves. The spectator selects two cards and returns them. The magician shows four Aces; two are in the hands and two in the deck, each pair sandwiching one of the spectator’s selections.
Reflective Double Sandwich: The spectator selects two cards. The magician visually produces four Aces. In an instant, the four Aces—both on the table and in the hands—locate the two selections.
Double-Decker Sandwich: A similar effect to Reflective Double Sandwich, but more visual and more direct. The four Aces appear in a flash and immediately find the two selected cards.
